The Dangers of Facebook
Most driving schools get Facebook wrong and it is costing them pupils, are you making the same common mistakes without realising?
Its a bit like learning to drive, someone can start the engine, accelerate, brake and steer, but are they driving properly? And nearly all driving schools have no idea how to use Facebook correctly.
Have you ever used Facebook Live? This is a great tool to broadcast to all of you Facebook friends and followers…the best thing about it is not only do people watch the recording stays on your profile for people to watch later. You can do video testimonials, SMTM, perhaps even look at accident black spots.
It is so easy to record a video testimonial and the vast majority of your clients have never known a world without the internet and without Facebook, many of your clients will be recording videos weekly with their friends. All you need is 30 to 45 seconds and 3 or 4 questions about what they have just achieved, how they feel and would they recommend you.
Never ever ask people to like your business page if they are never going to like, comment or share your posts. The fewer the people who respond to your posts the fewer the people Facebook share your post to. And every time a post of your is shown to an ADI who liked your page, it is one less pupil that post will go to.
Driving instructors have a really bad habit of forgetting their old pupils, keep them engaged within the brand you are building. Be creative to get the making comments and sharing the content for you.
How many times do I see driving instructors revealing their prices, the learners are not interested. Right now you have them in a hold, they are thinking of learning, and looking at your Facebook page because they have a little confidence in you due to the fact their mate passed their test with you. It is not a recommendation, they have simply stumbled upon you through the power of Facebook and they have an interest , so don’t spoil the party and let the cat out of the bag…give them the opportunity to engage you and say “what do you charge?”
If you have earned something new from this post, please like and share it.
You can increase your annual income by £3000 by selling motorway lessons, all you need is 23 seconds.
So you have more pupils than you can handle and you are considering recruiting an ADI to work in your team, but what is the best approach to expanding your driving school?
Renting a website is a quick, reliable and a cost effective way of getting a top quality website without any potential big upfront expense. Maintained and SEOd for you so it ranks on Google this is a monthly rental program just for your driving school business and it comes with no strings attached. Go into Currys or any other electrical supplier and you will see an array of items to buy, computers, audio, washing machines, televisions and guess what, they all have different price tags.
You can walk into Currys and pick yourself up a TV from as little as £149 and at the other end of the scale you can pay £3000 or £4000 yet they are all televisions. Sure the top of the range are flatter, more curved, more features, better sound etc, but it is still a television and people still buy them. So can you sell a driving lesson package for £2000?
